Default new clutch installed feels realllllly light?????

OK I got the ecs stage one kit in. The kit comes with a new flywheel thats half the size of the old one. The old disc was in fact down to the metal rivits. ( how ever that is spelled.)
The clutch was put in and it all lined up ok... new everything.
After the install ,the test drive got a bit scarey. The clutch droped to the floor like a feather.. thinking to my self awe **** .. I backed it out and i let out about 1 inch and it bit hard and flew back like a mule kicked it. WOW IT REALLY GRABS.I was concerned now so i creeped forward to drive it a prepared for the mighty jerk as it engaged. It seems fine.
I drove it all nite and it feels awesome. WHOLE NEW CAR. I ate some lunch too. I blew the doors off a couple honda crap boxes and the thing really works.... BUTTTTTT it feels really light...

GUYS HELP ME HERE... I COULD FART ON THE PEDAL AND IT WOULD WORK. I HAVE LIKE8 INCHES OF NOTHING IT HOOKS UP WHEN I PRESS DOWN. IT DOESNT SEEM LIKE A PROBLEM BUT IF ANY ONE ELSE HAVE AN AFTER MARKET KIT PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF THIS OUNDS RIGH TO YOU.

Normally since you had to go in that far anyway, it's a good idea to replace the slave cylinder when doing the clutch. At this point I would try to bleed it, you may have gotten air introduced into the system at some point.

So you like the new clutch huh?! I'm going to be ordering mine on the 19th and hopefully having it installed the follwing saturday.

Let me know how everything is going! ..... I cant WAIT for my new clutch now..... considering this car has had a slightly slipping clutch from the day I got it...im sure im going to feel a HUGE gain....

man im excited!

is the car any louder due to the flywheels weight?

I changed my Clutch to a Spec Stage 2 clutch and a Lightened Spec Flywheel.... its made a big difference in terms of the pull of the car...... I dont know how to explain it clearly but the car seems like its got more torque....... I owned a 2000 180hp tt before and i remember when i changed that flywheel and clutch i can make all 4 tires spin on dry when i drop clutch it at 4000 rpm! but i cant seem to do that with my 225 now......... maybe its a more heavier car :S anyone out there got similar experience???

did you not change out your old throw-out bearing and slave cylinder? its a must when adding the new clutch disk and pressure plate? the ecs kit should of came with one. also make sure to bleed the entire clutch system I had to do it twice to get it to feel like i wanted to
