Default New TT Owner

Hi Folks,
I've been lurking for a while, but today I bought the TT I was scouting for. I got an '02 Quattro Roadster. Dark Blue, Blk interior. 42500 miles with a valid warrenty until next April. Paid $21,000 OTD from a Honda dealorship and felt that was the best deal I could get.

Anyway, was hoping for some advice when I bring it to the dealor on what they should check to make sure I get the most out of the little bit of warrenty I have left. Also, I understand there is free maintanence until 50k miles as well. Since I just got the car, can I get them to do a service for me? I don't know that they will be able to tell when the last one was done. The dealorship didn't know since they only had it on their lot for about 9 days.

Thanks and glad to be here as an owner instead of a wisher

Welcome to the forum.

Not sure what exactly you would want them to look at, other then what they'll probably look at anyway. 42k miles is a pretty safe area, too soon to go thru the 'change your timing belt' routine. Spark plugs I guess, if they haven't been changed, should be done every 30K. Maybe haldex oil change too? Haldex is the quattro system, oil and filter get changed every 20K. Takes a special wrench to get the filter off, so its kinda tricky to do yourself. You can buy the wrench though, check out www.modshack.info think it runs about $40 for the wrench.
