New TT owner, Need to know what brand and parts to get!!!!!
Hey guys and gals
After months of searching this past saturday I picked up my new used TT for my daily driver as my cobra turned into a twin turbo race car...
It is a 2003 moto blue 225hp TT. I love the car its pretty fast for being stock.
Now I an getting bored with the stock power where and what brand of parts to buy for the TT
cold air intake?
Down pipe?
Catback?
Chip?
Suspension?
Wheels?
I am looking to make this car into a nice daily driver with some power to keep the pesky turbo hondas around here in check.......... I am located in the chicagoland area and is there any shops around here??? Thanks for your time...Eddie

You just got her! Shesh! Coming from a tang, I suggest taking her on some twisties and break her in properly!
Plus it's fun!!
For parts check out these sites:
www.ECStuning.com
www.tirerack.com - they sell more than tires, i got my suspension from them.
www.ttstuff.com - all TT all the time!
The major tuning companies are APR, REVO, and GIAC; there websites can be found in the FAQ.
Oh yeah and you may want to first invest in the Bently Repair Manual as well as a Vag-com cable... for diagnostic purposes.
Trust me you'll need it! www.ross-tech.com
Congrats on the new purchase, and welcome to the Vag community!

ouTTie914, Ialready did take her out this weekend on some twistie turns and it was fun as hell!!!!!!!! At this point I am just turning my cobra in to a full blown drag car... Know anybody with used parts? I lucked out as my best friend is a audi tech for audi, he checked the history at work and everything checked out perfect. Plus he can do the work on the side when I break stuff, I like to do my own work... Can I shoot a small shot of nitous??????? The Mexican... Eddie

cold air intake? Just run an open element filter
Down pipe? Yes as it IS the most restrictive part of the exhaust..I went 42 Draft Designs. The stock dp starts out over 3" then splits into 2 2" pipes into 2 cats. Mine stays 3" all the way thru to a magnaflow hi-flow cat (you can runa testpipe of course too). You can't beat the HP to $ ratio. Best gain besides a chip for reasonable money.
Catback? I went Borla...others will tell you what they went with and why. I liked the sound of the Borla best personally. They all seem to perform the same. Some of the most popular for the TT are Borla, Forge/Blueflame, Milltech and APR.
Chip? Giac, Revo, APR, are the most common and perferred.....they are all good.Choose a chip with a dealer in your area. I went with Revo after likingthe reviews that I had read. My choices were between APR/Revo.
Suspension? How low do you want......me, H&R coilovers
Wheels? Personal choice of size and looks.
