Nitrous?

Nitrous is great on paper, but in real life it's a PITA. Getting the bottle filled is pricey(3.00 a lb where I am from soabout $25 because I never use all the bottle)and you have to find somewhere to do it. When you let it sit for a while, you are not sure what you have left(pressure gauge will tell you what you have left). It's a substantial amount of extra plumbing, wiring, and weighton your car(10lbs and the little bit of weight for the other little bits). You have to waste some purging to be sure it will be there ready for you so the car doesn't stumble(True and good point). When you run low, the car goes way rich and falls on it's face(this is why you have a pressure gauge, it falls low go and get it refilled). To do right, you need to retard the timing while in use(W/M injecton is there to prevent detonation, if w/m isnt working nitrous wont work either). You have to be able to read your plugs to calibrate your A/F jets, and do it fast before you hurt something(Yes you do its called tuning start off small shot and work you way up). Then after you run with it, your car will feel pig slow without it(this is true nitrous is like crack, but the same with BT setups you will always want more power....and...less lag). You will always be thinking and saying, "if I had the bottle on!" The TT is a turbo car. Why not push the limits of your bottom end ($$$)with boost instead of something that is such a PITA? In short,I've been there, done that, don't recomend it for a TT. Sorry.

By no means am I trying to be smart here, these are just a few of the answers that I have for this statement. I value your opinion and will take it into consideration. The thing is why not try something that not alot of guys have done before. Sure there are 1.8t's out there that are running a 50shot or less. But 100 on a direct port with a built bottom end and w/m is something that I dont think alot of guys are willing to do. I like to be different. And if in the process I mess up my motor then why not go ahead and build one up that I really want. If I do save up the extra money to do a BT setup then my bottom end will already be built and I will have the nitrous for lag control, just jet it down to a 50shot for spool. Just my thoughts.

I don't even own a TT, my brother does. I've played with the NOS on my '67 Falcon and my other brother's '94 4.6 T'bird. Much more on my Falcon. I found having the bottle filled alone and being limited on passes on the strip was annoying enough. Having power on demand just by pushing the go pedal down is more for me. But to each his own. You seem to understand the drawbacks. So have fun!
Thank you for your opinion yes I do understand the drawbacks but this was just an idea, not saying im getting it, im not saying I am not. I just wanted to know everyones opinion on running nitrous on the 1.8T. And eventually doing like Sam did and go BT and nitrous. But thanks for your opinon and thoughts.
little ko3 + no2 dyno
