Occasionally a Funky Smell in the Car
 

My vents have a funky smell once in a while. I don't think the AC is draining properly. I took off the outside drain cover and it appeared OK. Then I took off the glove box and bottom trim to find that the condenser drain is an integral part of the assembly and it looks like the whole thing has to come out to clean it. The outside drain is a bitch to get to or I would just stick a pipe cleaner in there. I tried to access it from the top by removing the strut tower brace and intake pipe. It's still tough to reach.

Does anyone know an easy way to clean out the drain?

FYI, I also replaced the cabin pollen filter this weekend and I believe that helped.
