Default Other Build ( VW Material)

i know thisdosent belong in this sectionbut i wanted to post this here because this is my favorite forum. Im sure the mods wont mind, thats why its my favorite forum!

Anyways i started the build on the corrado last friday. I did a spacer gasket, arp studs and started the mock up of the turbo system.i bolted up the manifold andput the hot side of the turbo on and am starting on the dp and exhaust now. havent decided on intercooler setup...steath or fmic, but i will figure it out really soon! I want the car to be done by Dubs at the Beach. Just taking a break and though i would share....pretty excited and i had to tell somebody about it.

VR6 12v with a T4? Is this roughly the same type of setup you want for your TT?

yep Garrett T04 60-1, the tt will be getting a vr6 but the 3.2 litre 24v from the r32. Loosely similiar kit set up.

Think i might get a t3/60-1 for my car. Could step it up to a t3/61 if i can deal with the extra lag

Thats what im hoping. Taked to one guy that has one on his car but with just rods. He said he got 20psi by 4200rpms and im sure i can get that down a good deal. He was also using a atp log manifold so a nicer flowing manifold would yeld faster spool and more top end.

You need to get one of those VR6's in a TT. I took a ride in a 12v that had a t04s in it and it hit 15psijust past3k. It wasnt extremely fast since it still needed a better tune.

Looks cool Ray, sounds like an awesome project. Corrado's and Scirocco's are my fav Vdubs. Kinda obvious though, I mean, the other models don't stand a chance.
