Default Please help

I left out for work this morning and my 01 TT 1.8 Quattro stuttered and the check engine light came on. It didn't stall, it idles fine. I wasonly about 3/4 of a mile from home so I just limped it back. I turned it off and it started back up like nothing was wrong but the check engine light stays on and it stutters whenI give it anythrottle.Does this sound likethe mass air flow sensor? It doesn't giveanycharacteristics of being the timing belt, but I'm not a pro. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

you could temp disconnect the maf and see if it helps. could also check plugs. if you can pull any codes from a local shop or auto supply spot, there are links on here that will give some more info. did you happen to give it crappy gas or wrong octane?

Drive over to your nearest Autozone... they'll read your codes for free. Post them here and we'll try to help with the diagnosis.
