Possibly buyign a Audi TT Quattro - Would appreciate some help
So here's the deal, I am very much interested in getting a Audi TT Quattro. It's a 2001 with about 61,000 miles. First and foremost, is that " a lot " of miles for this car? I know with proper maintnence, any car could potentially last forever. I just don't know the nuances with this particular model. Secondly, I need to know about the backseat. I know it's NOT a "real backseat". All I would need to put back there is my dog crate. It's one for a dog about 25-35lbs. Would this fit sideways in the back? Also (yes, I am a speed junky), what's the mod market like for this vehicle? While I wouldn't be upgrading right away, still...I may in the future. Thanks in advance for EVERYONE'S help. I really want a AWD car and the one I found is amazing.
I bought mine TT 01 with the same milage. You should check or replace TB firts of all, if it hasnot been done. with 60K you will have to start with some minor maintance( brakes, fluids, filters, sparks....) if you get done the maintance first, than you can start with mods
So, while higher then wanted mileage, it's not all that bad? What would you say is a decent price for this car? I think it's the 225hp model.
~16-17 ish i would say depending on condition of body....
after 60k miles your best bet is to do the timing belt/water impeller/tensioner...
Dog crate will probably fit with the back seats up or down... doesnt matter.
As for the aftermarket... its good, pretty much limitless depending on the amount of $$ you want to spend

i would recommend the kit (has all three of those pretty sure) from www.dieselgeek.com
also there are a ton of sites out there for mods and what not... www.ecstuning.com is a good one too...
