Default prime oil system

hey for those that store their TT for the winter, are you gonna prime the oil system before you start her up for the first time? We need to find out what size socket the crank pulley takes so we can turn the engine over by hand to get the lifters and rings oiled up. i'm not starting her up dry!!!! should be able to just turn the engine over by turning the crank pulley clockwise....does anyone know if that can be done while the serp belt is still on??? if not, its not too hard to take it off by any means just trying to save time as i'll be so excited to drive her. It should be like driving a different car, with the APR FMIC and boost hoses and 19mm sway and DV relocation kit.

you can always just remove the spark plugs and try to start it 3-5 times, giving it about 20-30 seconds in between not to hurt the starter.

i think that will be way more time consuming than just turning the crank pulley

yeah, because removing the inner wheelwell, and pancake pipe from the intercooler to get to the crank is WAY easier than pulling 4 coilpack wires.... ; )

i wouldnt have to remove the pancake pipe as i have the 225 and its not in the way. only have to remove the inner wheel well. i'll consider the coil pack way but i still think turning the crank will be easier

also you wont have the jack up the car and put it on jackstands, just remove a couple bolts on the coils.

so step onehas already been checked. It all depends on what you feel is easier/less time consuming.

OR, take those 2 months, and rig up an electric oil pump, so you can prime your entire system to operating pressure before you start the car, every day.

I've been dreaming up crazy things to attach to toggle switches lately. My radio locked up, and even though I have the code, its not taking it. I was wondering if the radio was replaced, but not the code, but I think I'd rather try to run my sirius unit right to the amp, and skip the radio completely. In its place would be an aluminum panel with some gauges/switches (perhaps for a oil priming pump). But thats just dreaming, I haven't had much ambition lately to do anything. I think my work depresses me. oh well.
