I've been very happy with the Escort 8500 that I bought several years ago. My gf has that one now and I upgraded to the 8500 X50 last year. No complaints whatsoever. When I am out on the road it usually gets hits as much as 5 miles out giving me plenty of time to whoa up before the red lights start flashing.

 

Cause I've yet to hard wired it & I start driving without it on. That's just my own stupidity.
