Coming home from an s2000 meet last night I ran my buddy a few times on the highway.

What? We have a weak presence in the NY metro area. Get over it [8D].

So, anyway first run he got the jump, and I was catching up as we slowed for traffic. Nothing exciting.

2nd run- I was at 3500 in third, we took off, and he had a little bit of a jump, I pulled until I had to shift, and then he put a car on me, 4th I came even with him until the shift, then he pulled again. 5th I passed him, put a good amount of distance between us.

He said he dropped off at 80 because his new mismatched front tire was shaky.

I do buy it, but I want another run.

I was impressed by the TT.

 

What mods do you have again?
Stock right? That would be bad *** if you kept up with him stock

i thought about racing one last night. he did the usual ricer fly-by on the interstatethen slowed to pace me. i think he was stock but didn't want to chance it. i have a 180q with apr 93 flash,borla exhaust,cone filter, forge tip, and forge dv. i hear they are pretty fast, would i have even had a chance?

 

your tq would give you a edge. It would probably comes down to who can drive their car better.

 

How about a 225 with equal mods?

 

The "race" was basically stock vs stock from what it appears. SOMEONE would have to share more info for the correct specs of the s2k. It could be the F20 or the F22 (2 or 2.2L) engine and either 220hp or 240hp@7kwith i think about 160ftlbs@ 6.5k

They are supposed to be very close in acceleration.

We are both pretty much stock.

 

what the hell is a AP1 and 2? The 240hp cars have a F22 in it. Do you know or do i have to look it up?
