After shopping around and trying to find a vehicle that would give me the performance and still allow me to drive all year round, i finally bought the right car.

The Audi has been well maintained full service records, carfax and the Audi extended warranty.

Only had 50k miles when I purchased it back in January.

Now that I have gotten satisified with its performance so far I am looking into upgrade options.

Don't want to do anything drastic, prolly just instake, exhaust, and chip for starters.

I have been looking at a bunch of sites including the forums trying to decide they biggest bang for the buck.

I also don't mind spending a little extra $$$ if it means getting a better product that will last longer.

Here is what I have looked at so far.

http://www.neuspeed.com/products/product_details.asp?app=7|TT&type=5&ltype=ns_euro& p_id=777
http://www.neuspeed.com/products/product_details.asp?app=7|TT&type=11&ltype=ns_euro &p_id=192
http://www.neuspeed.com/products/product_details.asp?app=7|TT&type=11&ltype=ns_euro &p_id=112

Neuspeed from all my reports indicates to be the best but also the most expensive.

Thoughts? I would like to get as much HP from those upgrades, without causing problems with the other components.

Some of my performance friends are saying that I could just take it to a porformance shop, and have them craft a straight pipe past the turbo.

Saying that most of the turbo cars don't even need exhaust (mufflers).

What is the difference in power/sound in this vs. a Borla system?

I think you would have DB check problems with total straight pipe also exhuast does add low rpm torque.

Someone else might be able to help you with this.

There is a company that makes a divice that hooks to your exhuast pipe right after the turbo and it's got a open close valve that hooks to your boost line so when the valve see's boost it opens up and your exhuast becomes straight pipe but when your cruising down the road or not in the boost it's normal stock exhuast thats not loud and won't get you in trouble with the cops.
it's one of the coolest things i've seen.

Something else to keep in mind... You are probably approaching 60K and should be thinking about replacing the Timing Belt, Tensioner, Water Pump and Thermostat.

Yeah im at 67,000 now..

I've asked the Audi Dealer that have the extended warranty through since it is a Certified Vechicle.

They stated that since the Manual doesnt advise replacing the the Timing Belt etc.. until 120k, that they don't recommend it.

They said any damage caused from a premature failure would be covered.

But, from the stories on this forum etc.. it looks like I need to get it replaced.

Cheapest place I have found is a reputable foreign auto shop in my area.. they said that would replace everything for around $350.00 not including the water pump.

It does not look like I'm going to do anything extreme like straight piping.. ill just buy a nice after market cat back, apr chip, and intake.

I think that will satisfy me for a while.
