Removing haldex fuse #31

Removing haldex fuse #31
I just recently figured out that I'm having problems with my haldex. I have a post already asking about it below. My question is, is it safe to remove the haldex fuse and keep it removed until I service my haldex? Or will any problems occur from removing the fuse? I have done some research and the most that I have gotten is that the clutch will still be turning in the haldex but I'm not sure if this will hurt anything? Thanks for any help.

Hello, not sure if you got your problem straightened out, but as far as I can tell fuse #31 disabling haldex controller is a myth. I have a 2000 Audi TT quattro 180 5speed, live in upstate NY, haldex worked awesome all winter until the last snowstorm when the rear drive completely cut out. First thing I looked at was the fuse, which there was no fuse at #31 at all. Fuse #31 according to the diagram in my car is for automatic transmission. Also the forums I have read is it requires a 5a fuse which mine says it requires 20a I believe. Still no awd after changing fluid and filter to haldex, rebuilding the precharge pump, also put in a powertrack insert from yhw that allegedly rules out the controller. Scanned my car with VCDS-lite as far as it would allow, got code #16955 (brake switch), which is cheap and unlikely because I don't have any dummy lights on the dash at all, but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Just wanted to give you my experience so far. If anybody has any further advice to help either one of us feel free. Thank you.

also have AWD issues
I have a 2001 TT quattro 225HP. I noticed this winter that my AWD is not working. I brought it to a car shoppe and they confirmed it. They told me it's my "clutch pump" which when you look for that, it doesn't exist. I believe they meant the "differential pump." They said it's getting power to it but not operating. My ESP button in the dash doesn't seem to do anything either. Would this be something as simple as my haldex #31 fuze being out? I'm going to check that but I feel like they would have looked at something that simple already.
I'd rather not replace the whole rear differential for something as simple as a pump or fuse. Please let me know your thoughts!
