should i buy???? HELP!

hi i just found a 2001 audi tt awd with 120xxx miles, 6 speed red ext black int bose radio and every option except navi. the timing chain went and destroyed the top end the motor was rebuilt for $4000 at 90k miles. all service was done by an audi dealership even the rebuild. its also the 225 hp motor. i could probably get the car for $7500 i know nothing about these cars could you fill me in on how they go and what problems i may face and also whats faster and handles better if any one knows the audi of an e36 m3?
thank you for the help

pretty sure stock for stock an m3 would beat out a 225q.
7500 prob wouldnt be too bad assuming the tranny feels good, and everything is good. Is this private party or at an audi dealer? do they have receipts for all of the work performed? If not i wouldnt trust it personally.
take it to an audi dealer if it isnt at one and have it checked out.

yah its a private sale but he has all receipts but would the car hold the value or will the miles kill it?

120xxx miles with rebuilt motor because of timing belt:
- kind of sketchy. depends on what a dealer/audi mechanic can say about the work done and receipts given.

red/blk:
- really nice combo, if paint and leather are in great shape...

225tt vs e36m3:
- 225tt = more of a go kart style of driving compared to the m3
- m3 = definitely faster IF both cars are stock. i guess it depends on your location, driving conditions, your preference

it prob wont hold much value. Not to me anyway. If i see a car has been "rebuilt" or has a new engine i go on to the next one. I just dont trust that kind of stuff. Ask the guy if you can take it to an audi dealer to have it looked at.
