RE: The Shroom Filter!
My shroom came in today. Unfortunately, the nipple for the Vac line that goes from the FPR to the intake manifold broke off the intake manifold when i pulled off the hose. -shrugs-
Intake manifold removal, repair, and reinstallation in progress. |

RE: The Shroom Filter!
Is there any red filters? A green intake would look weird in a black egine bay with red hoses. Too christmas-iy.

RE: The Shroom Filter!
^ trust(JDM) filters are yellow and greddy's(USDM) are blue. i had to put in a special request at edoperformance to get me the trust one, instead of the greddy.

RE: The Shroom Filter!
Noob question:
I called edoperformance and the guy told me that I in order to install a mushroom filter i would need to install a $350 kit. He said i could not simply switch my stock filter with a mushroom filter. Is this true? My intake is stock btw. Thanks! |
RE: The Shroom Filter!
He's full of shit.
All you need to buy... is the HKS Mega flow reloaded intake kit... for the Audi A4 1.8t. Since there is NOT a vehicle specific kit for the TT... he's trying to feed you lines of BS. Just order the A4 kit and connect it directly to your MAF housing. That's exactly the setup I have and I did NOT pay for some $350 kit. Don't ask if it fits the TT. They will tell you no because the box does not say TT on it, it says A4. The A4 1.8t has the exact same engine (probably some differences in configuration, but otherwise the engine itself is the same)with the exact same Intake inlet diameter that we have. |
