why not do something like prosper.com? one of my friend joined and is a lender there. I am thinking about jumping in. Granted, you got the risks, but I think it's manageable.

 

Good luck to your friend (and you if you do join in)! I'm not much of a risk taker when it comes to my $.
Plus, I like that fact that I don't have to do anything for 9 months, and can make 13 hundred dollars.
