some lowering questions,need help

i bought Neuspeed 1.25" lowering springs and was wondering if new shocks are a must right away or if i can just keep my stock ones in for now. also is lowering the ride height gonna completely screw up the camber and all that?if i need to get shocks which ones do you guys suggest??

Keeping the stock stocks with lowering springs are not a good plan. Besides being pretty well worn-out at this point, the added drop will hasten their demise.

As for lowering and Camber.. you can drop up to about 3/4" and still be able to get camber into spec with the stock setup. Once you go above that you need to be looking at a 1/2 K-Mac setup. If you go to the full K-Mac you'll have enough adjustment to get rear toe into spec as well.

Another option are the Forge Arms.... but keep in mind you'll still need 1/2-K-Mac in the top arms to adjust toe. ECS Tuning makes arms similar to the Forge ones, but the location of the adjuster compromises the headlight leveling swing arm on the TTs equiped with HID headlamps.

The front camber is adjustable in its stock form. I've dropped almost 2-inches and the front is near spec with the rears I installed a Full K-Mac setup.

While you are there... don't forget to replace the upper strut bushings and bearings on the front. ECS-Tuning Part #EC5029.. Look about 1/3 down the page on the right hand column.

i see that it says the KMAC fits audi tt quattro but what about FWD? Seems to me like the simple act of lowering the TT is going to drain the wallet a bit when you start to price the shocks and KMAC stuff and bushings. Im starting to think maybe i should invest this money on finishing my Galaxie :( drag/weekend car. I might have some neuspeed springs for sale soon if anybodies interested.

I didn't realize you were FWD not Quattro... you can forget everthing I said about the rear arsm., except for the strut bushings and bearings. I still recommend that you replace your shocks while you are there however.

There is enough adjustment in the FWD rear setup to get it back into spec. The suspension setup on the rear is different between the FWD and Quattro.
