Sparkplug Gap on '01 225HP Coupe?
 

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this forum and I was wondering if anyone has any idea what the
proper Sparkplug Gap would be for a 2001 225HP TT Quattro Coupe?
I called my Audi dealership and talked to the parts department. They would be
happy to sell me the Sparkplugs at $18.99 a piece but couldn't tell me the Sparkplug
gap. They said they are pregapped at the factory and don't have to be gapped.
That may very well be but it doesn't answer my question.

If anyone knows please enlighten me ;)

Also do I have to replace the Sparkplugs with the Authentic NGK PFR6Q Spark Plugs?
I thought that almost 19 bucks for one plug is a bit steep. I can get Denso's for a lot less
but will they work as well as the NGK's?? And again, I do want to know the Gap size if
at all possible.

:) Okay, I guess I will just have to reply to myself ;)

After extensive Research I did come up with the proper Gap Size for the Audi TT.
Acording to the NGK Site the proper Gap is .8mm or converted .032 in SAE measurements.
I also found the NGK Plugs for a lot less than the dealer (Audi Dealer wants $18.99 per Plug)
Pep Boys wants $15.95 per plug and the winner is Advance Auto which I got the NGK Audi Plugs
for $9.98 per plug. That is like 2 for one compared to the dealer pricing. Ridiculous!!!

Anyway, Just FYI in case anyone else wonders about the GAP.. .032 is the correct gap.
