Default Springs with stock shocks?

Will this be ok to do? I dont have much money to spend because I have ordered my wheels and tires. Now I need to right look, which is a little lowering.

I was thinking about some H & R springs with just the stock suspension. Will this damage my shocks in the long run? Will it destroy ride comfort and make the ride bouncy? I want to do this right, and would love coilovers, but do not have the money right now. Should I save up? (Would take a long time with gas prices now)

Thanks for all the advice... Oh, allow me to show you my tires that have come in already.... now I'm just waiting on the rims.

What would you recommend I get, coilovers? If so, what kind are best?

What would have been best, but not as much fun, would have been to spend your money getting your suspension right before tires and wheels.

V-maxx coilovers are the most economical @ $650
Bilstein PSS9's (or the PSS10's for MKII) are considered the "best" and cost $1700

I went with Koni coilovers priced in the middle, coilovers and rear sway $1275.

Hows the ride with coilovers? Better than stock?

Coil-overs can be set to ride close to stock or much firmer if you get a setup like the Bilstien PSS-9's. I think the Koni coil-over setup has adjustable compression dampening, not rebound from what I know. The H&R sport springs will drop the car 1.3" from stock. That really isn't going to do much other than close the fender gap some. The deepest drop will come with a coil-over setup.

i was quite suprised with the way my vmaxxs turned out. at first i was skeptical, but they really are nice... quite a firm ride though, but i take those big curved highway ramps like a champ
