For those of you with real tonneau covers...
...I am trying to replicate the hardshell type seen here http://www.lltek.com/images/SPDSTR_T...owling_3_Z.jpg
The company that used to distribute this said that it uses the same OEM latching system of the "flat/traditional" flexible-style tonneau covers of the olden days.yeah, My roadster did not come with a tonneau cover that covers my top when down, so i'd need pictures of that and especially the pictures of it's latching system
This is what the original dealer said about the following the aftermarket tonneau cover (hardshell aero bump one)...

When you put the flexible cover on the car, it's held in place just behind the rear door with a fastener. Our cover used the same factory part that is on the flexible cover. This part can be bought from the dealer, but it has to be mounted onto the cover with some kind of bracket, and then lock into the part on the car.

I don't see a question in your post, so I don't know if you are looking for an answer, but I believe that ALL US Roadsters came with the tonneau, so whatever OEM part would be needed should be in place if installed on a US original car.
I don't know what it is refering to, as the OEM one just slides under the trunk at the rear, and snaps in at both doors (where there is a button to release).
If that doesn't address your question, what is it, exactly?
