Hey guys. With my recent interest in the new TT I've migrated here from Vortex. I've started finding little bits of info on the TTS. The prospect of 2.0T + Quattro = Awesome! I've been reading through some of the threads and have seen people talking about a 2.0T Quattro coming out next year with no reference to TTS. Are you guys referring to the TTS or is the TTS a European maybe that will probably never make it to the US as someone at Vortex suggested?

Is there any definite news about a 2.0T quattro TT making it to the US?

On a side note... something I couldn't get answered on the Tex maybe you guys know. What accounts for the difference in the sound of the 3.2 TT exhaust and the R32's exhaust? What makes the R32 purrrr more and how could you get the same sound out of the TT?

My guess is the turbo in the R32 verses the NA 3.2L V6 TT.
I'm sure the mufflers are also different and produce a different note.
I don't believe there are any 100% claims on a Quattro 2.0T... Although it would be nice to see!
There were rumors of a TTS and a TTRS to come out in North America... again not sure how true that is.

I was under the impression that the TTS was to come out in 08; while the TTRS is planned for 09... We shall see.

As per the R32 question. The R32 actually has the same NA 3.2L 6 cylinder as the TT which is what leads me to question what is done differently that gives the R32 a more aggressive exhaust note.

 

I thought the R32 was a v6 NA?

 

The size and style of the mufflersmust bediffernt. BTW, there is a TT section on vortex also

TTS and TTRS are just different model TT's that are supposed to be coming out.

The mki section is great, dont think anyone really post mkii stuff really here or in the vortex mkii specific forum. The TT-S would be nice, but if its just motor and turbo work and nothing else, id take the standerd 2.0T and build it better. But the TT-R with the 5cyl turbo.... sign me up. Still want that twincharged 1.4L VW engine that makes 165hp and 175ftlbs and gets 30/40 mpg.
