What accounts for the difference in the sound of the 3.2 TT exhaust and the R32's exhaust?
The 3.2L TT has some valve in its exhaust that shuts it up when its not under heavy load. When you get on it, the valve opens and lets the exhaust get louder. My guess would be the R32 doesn't have that.

The "flapper." Yea the R32 has that as well. Could be at a different place along the exhaust. Opens up at around 30-40mph I believe. That being said at full throttle they should both sound the same if that were the reason for it.

lol... outtie you've been immortalized.

Sorry for the double post, didn't see this message at first.

The TT-S would be nice, but if its just motor and turbo work and nothing else, id take the standerd 2.0T and build it better.
Reason I'd take the TT-S without a hitch:

FWD + Power =

Quattro + Power =

Mix the easy upgradability of the 2.0T with the traction/handling of Quattro in the body of the TT and that's a killer combo! I can tell you from experience, FWD = NO FUN at higher power levels. There's nothing more frustrating than just spinning tires with unusable power.
