I'm not sure what it is. I thought stainless was to heavy or something. Whats the best material to use? and how much of a difference is there?

They are mainly made out of stainless or aluminized steel. Stainless will last longer but is more expensive. Aluminized is what the stock is and will rust over time. Its not a huge deal unless you really care about it not what it looks like in 2 years.

Yeah and I plan on lowering it so nobody could see it. I just want it to sound nice and perform better which is the whole idea right.

with a cat and magnaflow, it should be loud, but not overbearing. I think i might open up my stock cat and put it on my dp when i open my exhaust to 3".

If you are running a cat, you most likely wont need one. The FWD cars use a large single cat that can be made to have 3" in/out.

The guy that quoted me said i might throw a check engine light when i removed the stock cat and put in a high-flow cat. What do i need to do to keep that from happening?
