Default UnEven Tire wear

I have a '03 Quatro TT with 22K miles. I bought the car 3 months ago. They have M&S tires on 18" rims. I went to rotate the tires this weekend and noticed that they are all wearing down much more on the insides then on the outside of the tires. The rears were worse than the fronts. The passenger rear was the worse (down to the wear bars on the inside with plenty of tread left on the middle and outside.) Is this an aligment problem? Any other thoughts? Thanks

Unless you have an elf filing your tires down at night, I'd say it would have to be an alignment issue. Take it to a reputable place that does 4 wheel alignments and see how it looks. Also keep in mind, snow tires have a pretty soft rubber compound so they stay plyable in freezing conditions, they'll wear pretty fast regardless. Uneven wear is something to get looked at though.

I've had the same problem. The rears wear faster than the fronts and the right rear wears the fastest. I've had it aligned and realigned by some very good shops and it has not gotten any better. 2001 225 quattro coupe 130k

Too much negative camber, leading to the excessive inner wear...get em aligned.

Post pics (good please) of the wear and let everyone chime in.

Yeah I had a similar problem. But only after I lowered it and had my tire pressure way to high. An alignment should fix it.

so, from then to now, i've installed stiffer bushings on my car. huge difference in tire wear, for the better.

stiffer bushings hold the suspension components in proper alignment as the suspension flexes, which means less push/understeer, which means less weird tire wear.

Ok. Now you've gotten my attention (which I believe 'achtung' means in German). Tell more about the stiffer bushings. Where do they go? Front AND back? Where do I get them? Can I install them myself? You guy are the best.
