Unplug bypass N75

I've been trying to find out why I've lost boost on my 2001 Quattro 225. Fixed 4 leaks replaced the MAF and still nothing. Not sure if I need to reset anything after replacing the MAF but now I'm looking at the N75. I've tested ohms and if I'm reading it right it's showling 10 ohms not the 25-30 that I've seen listed. Is there any way to unplug it or cap off the lines to/from it to see if the boost returns? I know everyone here has heard this sad story a million times. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. BTW this thing used to pin me to the seat and now feels like an engine with no boost even though I can hear the turbo winding up.

no boost gauge readings make this thread pointless. psi can change with temps or leak and many places. YOu need a boost gauge if you dont have one and then run a boost leak tester

Installed a boost gauge. It's jumping up to 10psi if I really step on it but it doesn't feel like it's really getting that much boost. Used to really push me back. I'm still going to check for more leaks and I ordered a new N75 yesterday since it looks like mine is not reading the correct ohms.

how hard is the install of the N75?

It's just three hoses. The hardest part is usually getting the stock hose clamps off without tearing something. And IMO you'll want to replace those with a normal hose clamp of some sort.

Which one do you order? F, J , Race, etc.?

It's a direct replacement for the C version I have on there now.

I visited ECS tuning and ordered a Race variety. Hope this not going to reulst in erratic performance

New N75 installed boost is still not right. I'm starting to think TT is ticking time bomb.

Maybe its the Turbo blown or your wastegate is stuck!
N75 is an easy replace. Use a MBC and bypass the N75, leaving it electrically connected.
Ticking time bomb nah! Tempermental yes! pita at times..all VW, Audi's are..
