I say get it fixed and get with the campus police and regular police and have a camera installed in the car and park it in the same place to see if they do it again and catch them. Could be tried as a hate crime if they are caught.

Seriously, if that had been written on the campus buildings they would take it more seriously so I would push the school some.

Feel for your troubles, not what I'd expect to see at Clarkson. Undoubtedly a trashed Greek. You just starting up there? I just finished 4 years of hanging out up there. My bro went to school there, and my sister, and about 6 of my friends... Join the Sports Car club if it's still up and running, Ihung out with that crew alot, and the former Pres, VP, and a few others are the guys I go to H2O with. I joined that club w/o even going to school there!

I'm sorry for what happened bro... hope everything will be fine with your roadster soon. all these vandalism acts just make me think more and more about the safety of my car... I wouldn't know what to do in such a situation... i would cry, and find whoever did it, and cut them. with some scrissors... and take their eyes out...

I look forward to someday catching someone in the act of vandalizing ANY nice car, so they can feel the full wrath of an enthusiast.

I'd kick 'em in the face so hard they'd have to loosen my shoe laces to §hit.

I saw someone hit a parked car, whiletrying to park next to them. They just moved to another spot and parked there, thinking they ducked the bill.

I took down their plate make, model, etc. Wrote it on a post-it with my phone # in case they needed a witness, and stuck it to the damaged cars windshield after the offending car went into the store.

I never got a call to be a witness, but I hope they nailed that POS for hit and run at least.

Not that it’s the same as the BS that happened to you, but I got keyed a few years back. Turned into a very interesting story. It happened in the garage at my work.I put up signs in the garage that said "To the gutless wonder that keyed my car: Karma has a way of catching up to you. I only hope I do too."

Anyway, a co-worker of the little f***er that did it heard the guy bragging about it and told one of the security guards, who passed his name and employer on to me. The guy that turned him in was a car nut himself and was sickened that someone would do that. Anyway, I called in a favor from a cop and had her pay the guy a visit. He didn't admit to it, but when she ran his license, he had warrants and off to jail he went- in cuffs in front of his co-workers, boss, etc. I think the whole thing lead to his getting fired, b/c I never saw the guy in the building after that.

I could have pursued a small court claim against the guy, but it only wound up costing me my $250 deductible, and it would have been more trouble than it was worth to try to pursue anything. The cops couldn't really charge him based on someone overhearing the guy bragging, but his warrants were for DWI and drug possession, so I felt like I got some measure of revenge.

During this whole thing, I had some people telling me not to pursue getting the guy as they thought I'd just set myself up to get vandalized again, and had others telling me to just beat his a**, but in the end, I think I did the right thing. It would have been VERY therapeutic to pound the guy, though.

Anyway, I just thought I'd offer up that story as proof that sometimes you can get some sort of justice.

To the OP- Buy some detailing clay and use it.It was originally developed to remove overspray in body shops. From personal experience, it will remove the spray paint without any risk of paint damage. Don't forget to rewax after use.
