vent boost gauge ideas?
Well since the AWE tuning vent gauge is currently backordered anyone have any ideas of where to go to get a different vent boost gauge? Or even somewhere where they do have awe vent gauges? I have seen people do vent boost gauges I just dont know where to get the vent gauge housing and that stuff. Any ideas are helpful. thanks

i just cut a piece of aluminum measured the diam. of the gauge then the inside of the vent
then painted it black it was fairly easy and i was bored so it was a plus;) |

www.modshack.info sells vent gauge rings, just glue inside and hook up and your good to go...haha only wish it was that easy lol.

RE: vent boost gauge ideas?
I put the AWE gauge package from the A3 into my TT, the only difference in the gauges is the center of the needle is black, not silver. It comes with a trim ring like the Modshack adapter but needs a 1/16th trim with a dremel/airtool/sander to make the trim ring fit the TT vent. This option saves you $100 from the price of the TT gauge/Vent adapter ring but gets you the factory matched lighting of the AWE gauge. If you are interested I have install pics of mine. You will also need to provide the "t" fitting to tap onto the vac line if you tap in @ the FPR otherwise the fitting included in the A3 install kit will work @ the DV. I bought my fitting at Pepboys for $1.99 for three.

Actually AWE has them on their web site for the TT and I just ordered it a few hours ago. I really like how it loooks like it came with the car that was the major selling point for me. Thanks for the help though guys!

PFFT!

RE: vent boost gauge ideas?
I got a modshack vent ring for $15 and $40 shipped fro the Revo. Dont think $55 is too bad at all. Compared with $280 on the AWE its a steal!

RE: vent boost gauge ideas?
Ahh I just went and bought a large 2 5/8 gauge. It fills the entire vent and vent ring. Nothing else needed.

^ along with 0 airflow

RE: vent boost gauge ideas?
I dont care about no stinkin' airflow!! Like you would get much anyways with 97% of the vent blocked. Plus the other three fronts work just fine. I have the vent sealed at the back.
