Default Regular k&n air filter good or bad?

Since it has oil on it would it mess up the MAF ?

Also thinking of modding just apr chip and j valve what do you think about that ? any problems to come of it ?

there are a lot of stories about how oiled filters can screw up the MAF sensor, if they are over oiled. I have been running a K&N drop in panel filter for quite a while now without issues. They key is to make sure the filter is NOT over oiled. Most of them come out of the box with some excess oil on them. Some folks just blot the excess with a paper towel and give the filter about a day or so to drain. I used the air line at the shop to blow the excess out. or you can avoid the whole issue by running a comparable quality dry filter

because you haven't listed any details about your car, I really can't comment on your question about mods

The question is, "Why the hell bother?"

The thing is, per the APR specifications, unless you're going to go full Stage 2, then the factory intake is capable of supplying all of the air necessary for the engine. Oh yeah, and oil from the K&N filter can hose up the MAF.
