What is it.. and is it broke ?
 

This is a shot from the right side of the engine bay in-between the intake and the engine block.
I was cleaning out the DV today and noticed this joint.. and it looks crooked and maybe off of whatever its ok. Is it broke or should it be slanted ?

he means thats your shift linkage.

its ok if its crooked, its a captive ball, designed to move in a bunch of directions.

As long as you can shift, you're fine.
