i dont think it would do much at all... it isn true dual anyway. it splits @ the muffler i believe. before that its just regular single 2.25" sngle pipe... on mine at least

 

Correct, which is why i purposly stated that.

TTkid: I doubt you'd see any gain. Maybe a different exhaust note from the new duel muffler, but that's about it.
Save your money and put it towards an exhaust that will give yousome performance gains.

The exhaust will only fit a 180 quattro and even then, there needs to be an adapter in order to jump up from the 180's smaller dia exhaust pipe. There will be no power gains, as the exhaust is only as wide as it's thinnest part and the 225 still has a kink to it. The 180 owner will obviously need a dual-exhaust valence. This mod is strictly for the look of a dual-exhaust and is CERTAINLY not worth shelling out any money for, as you can almost always pick one up from 225 owners who upgrade to something else and want to clean out the garage because most cheap exhaust shops will charge you to dispose of it (or include it in the cost of swap). Seriously, if you actually get good money out of it, short of shipping costs, more power to you because you're ripping someone off.

 

i dont see how you would be ripping someone off? i would have sold mine a long time ago but i cant really find a large enough box to fit the damn thing in. they look much better than the single exhaust and have a different sound. to each his own is the phrase around here!

 

i think he meant if you're going to spend any money on a stock 225 exhaust you might as well save it and when you have enough buy forge, blueflame, borla... etc.

If someone wants the look or feel, they don't care about having performance as much as the look of performance at a cheaper price.
I wouldn't feel bad at all selling anything that someone wanted to buy.

As long as you're not purposely misleading them, and selling them a promise of a HP increase, they should know exactly what they are getting.

 

All I asked was what it was worth, I never tried to rip anyone off. Sheesh... lots of drama over nothing.
