Default Window issue

anyone ever experience this problem: come back to the car and the window is down an inch or so, when you know that it was up when you left it. OR when the window is down and you try to raise it, it goes half way and then all the way back down.

Anyone have a similar issue or can give me some advice?

Thanks,

Alex

window fix:

With the window down, raise the window all the way, then click the switch 'up' and hold for at least one second.

Window should be reset

Genius! Thanks! I new there might be some way of doing that. I went to the dealership and they wanted to charge me like 300 bucks to take the doors apart and readjust everything.

Thanks again.

they just find ways to screw you, thats why when you really need them you either dont trust them or take it there and wait, and wait, and well wait. Got to love the stealership.

Please help! My 2001 TT's windows was acting strange (when completely closed), peeking up and down for an inch one day. Several hours later, I opened them half way and notthey will NOT close. Is it a possible fused issue? At the same time, the buttons to openthe gas tank and trunk do not work. What is the problem?Thank you.

That sounds like a fuse, one of my fuses is prone to blowing when I hit the lock button on the remote with the doors open. There are 3-4 fuses that relate to the power locking/window circuit, get out your owners manual and open the fuse panel up, I'll bet you find a blown 30 amp (blue). I keep extra fuses in my glove box b/c of this happens every couple of months. Good luck

I have a passenger side window that has a mind of its own. Goes down everytime I turn the ignition key and more besides. I have tried the reset procedure but it has no effect. The drivers side is fine. Any one else had this or know of a solution? It's a 2001 1.8T 225 coupe.
