Default 15psi vs 22psi

thinking about turning up my boost from 15psi to 22psi, i see people running 22psi on dyno pulls, and on the strip, just want the 22psi for when i need it, i try to stay completly out of boost when dailying it so its not like id be on a day to day basis. motor is stock like i see people runnin the 22psi on, turbo is k04 with giac chip. Whats your thoughts on it? dangerous or ok? Thanks

you need a lot more fuel for 22 psi. if your car hand handle the extra fuel requirements then its ok, if not, good by motor

Yeah I'm thinkin you'd have to run at least a 4bar FPR to push 22psi, maybe bigger injectors? Would depend on your tune though I suppose. Just out of curiosity, whatcha want the extra boost for?

To pressure cook the rice, I suppose?

BTW, how would you get to 22 PSI? Do you have a MBC or something?

i make 25 psi daily, but that is what my tune is for, if you want a few more psi get an n75 race valve, don't just crank up your boost, ask jeff about that.... and if you need a 4 bar i have one, but i thought 1.8's came with them

they do come with em mines got one on it, i did some emailin to ecs and atp, and they said if your not beatin in and just usin it for ocational track/autocross your will be fine, both said 15 to 22 psi is not the biggest worry about fuel but about the drivers right foot. and we all know boost is addictive so idk about it yet.
