18" or not? That is the question.
I really hate putting on bigger tires then came on the car... BUT recently I was thinking of getting 18" rims. I use to have a e28 BMW 535i and that came with 18" after market rims even though they looked sharp the cars ride was not good. So I ask you Audi experts.. Do you think 18" rims would be Kosher? Also what type of tire would you recommend for a 18x8 wheel size? I was thinking 225/40R18..

18" can look good with the right rims, tyres and car height, It really depends on what you do and how you set it up. In my opinion 17" look best as the proportion to rim/tire is perfect, add a bit of lowering and its done :)
I have 225/45R17 on mine, an 18" would be more along 225-235/30R18 unless you want to keep it like you mentioned but I think that will look a bit big. Your adding almost the same amount of rubber on an 18" as an 17" The wheel will def look a bit big on the car. Good luck. |

It's actually my middle name. ;) All joking aside: This is the first forum where I haven't used my real name as my username. I got tired of cowardly trolls talking shit and yet knowing more about me than I knew about them. |
