hey you guys are the pros .... i wanted an awd car for winter and the rain and was told audi was the way to go....but i hear bad things about there dependability....ok here are the details 1996 black a4 2.8 awd immaculate condition 6 dics banger grey leather 115 k new timing belt just put in, it needs 2 new back tires i dont know what else to look for to see if im getting ripped but he wants 7,900 ..... im in northern nj and kinda hard to find a nice one to find but i am familiar with american cars only really andi work at a private garage so we dont get many audis for me to know much about them .... thanks for the help.....<edited><editID>a4 qt</editID><editDate>37941.3619907407</editDate></edited>

 

control arms - check to see if the car squeaks at all when you drive it. 115k is about that age where control arm bushings and sockets tend to die. Thats about all I can think of since the TB is done and you dont have a turbo.

 

AAAAH the thrill of buying a new car remember cash talks if everything looks Ok try offering him 7500 in cash make sure to remind him it needs new tires</P>


and speaking of tires make sure you replace them all or buy the same type for the rearthey sayputing different tires on a car with allwheel drive/Quattro can screw up the diffs</P>
