1998 A4 Rear wheel bearing replacement
Hello again,
I need to replace the left rear wheel bearing on my A4. I have purchased a new bearing and I hope to be able to save more money by doing as much of the grunt work as I can. I plan on removing the spindle from the car and bringing it and the new bearing to a shop for use of their press. Just wondering if anyone else has done this job before and has any tips before I get started.
Thank you

Yeah best thing to do is remove the spindle and take into a shop where they can press the old out and the new in. I did both rear bearings on my 98 a4 2.8 and thought I could make it with a press I bought from Harbor Freight and it bent the hell out of the press, I was still able to get the job done, but with an added 3 1/2 hours of sledging those bearings out.
