there is no 2.6 liter audi. dont write in all caps.. K&N makes a drop in filter. you can custom make your own or search around for aftermarket ones.

Agreed with these guys. And no, you can't take out the mass airflow sensor if you plan on driving the car.

audi 2.6 v6 quattro (96 n) i just got an induction kit from k&n off a 2.8 and the air meter wont go on it because its on the air box

You've still got me thrown by saying it's a 2.6. They didn't make a 2.6 in an A4. The mass airflow meter should work just fine - use the silicone couplers and put it together in this order:

intake cone - MAF - intake pipe - throttle body.

Guys, he is from England and they have a 2.6L available in 96.

You MUST use the maf other wise the engine doesnt know how much fuel to add since the maf meters the air.

 

well its an 2.6 do a google search. on my air filter box the air flow meter is molded on to the box wers the 2.8 v6 its a pipe so u can connect an induction kit to it is ther a way i can get round it
