Is it possible to put this is chrome trim on the 1.8T?

 

I always liked the 2.8 interior trim

 

Im going to try to put it on

 

The chrome exterior window trim would be tough to get off of the donor car without bending it, then I'm not sure how you would attach it to the 1.8T because I'm not sure how it goes on the 2.8 in the first place. I agree that it looks nice and would be a nice addition. Just be careful, take your time, and try not to bend it.

I know man, I've been off the grid for a while lol. Nobody has done it as far as I know, but lots of people have asked about it and then decided not to bother because of the logistics of finding some and getting it off the old car and on to the new car without ******* it up. I think if it was on there with clips like most of the other trim on these cars it wouldn't be tough to do, just time consuming.

 

Honestly, if you do go for it, get the S4 trim - the black chrome looks way nicer than the straight chrome of the 2.8 cars.

 

S4s don't have black chrome, it's the same as what's on the 2.8s

 

Three of my friends' S4s (one Imola, one Noggy, one Casa) all have black/smoked chrome trim. Definitely darker than my 2.8 has.

 

Never seen or heard of any difference. Have any pictures? The stuff on my S4 is definitely regular chrome. You sure they didn't plastidip it? Most folks prefer the 1.8ts black trim to the chrome.

If this is black chrome what does the regular chrome look like?
