"in 2" message
 

hi guys this might b a stupid/noob question, i have used the search engine, and no i don't have the owner's manual.

when i start my 96' v6 quattro, right under the mileage i get a flashing "message" that reads (in 2)

what does that means???

last time i ignored a flashing message it cost me a transmission on a jag. so i need to know what this is

Just a service interval reminder. It can be cleared at the dealer, with a Vag Com, or if you Google search "service interval reset" you should be able to find a DIY for it. Its a short process IIRC, push a coupla buttons in the right order and you'll be good to go.
