im doubtin you have an 01 engine in there. its a completely different block, head, and ecu (among other things). its not impossible but the diferent style waterpump alone makes it not worth swapping. your mechanic probly lied.

 

Even though 01+ water pumps are driven off the timing belt, they are way easier to replace than the older external one's. Better design too.

Yeah but if he got a WHOLE new engine it wouldnt be a problem. Whatever happend to nuyorka?

Yeah he was trying to use his ATW head with a built AWM block or something.
