2000 A4 Windshield
 
I have a 2000 Audi A4 2.8 V6 and just recently found a minor windshield chip and was wondering what are my options to getting it fixxed before it spiders or will i have to replace the whole windshield and about how much does that cost?

Please help guys I wanna get it done before its too late:)

Just call a windsheild replacement shop. Look up a local one in the phone book. Some places come to you and others you drive to. They will take a look at it and tell you if it is repairable. It depends on size and shape I guess. Sooner you have it looked at, the better your chances of it being repairable. In the meantime, don't use the heater. ;-) Temperature differentials between inside the car and outside the car will promote crack propogation.

Depends on size. If it is small they can repair it, which will save you around 250 bucks. But hurry up, as cracks tend to spread in winter because of temperature difference.

Last time, I got mine changed, a guy came to the place I work and changed it in the parking lot itself without any extra charge.

most jiffy lubes in my area have free rock chip repairs.

Replacement of windshield with non-OEM is approximately 250-300 dollars.

ohh thats not bad but does anyone know characteristics of a crack that would make it unreparable.....thanks alot for the help guys:eek:
