Hello!

I am still rather new to this site. I have an oil leak and I am pretty sure it is coming from the passenger side of the engine. I did a search on this site and found a few things.

Valve cover gasket or a pan gasket possibly?

If anyone could give me some links to a DIY or some direction in what I need to do that would be great.

I also have a high pitch whining noise when my car starts up for about 20 seconds. Any clues on that?

the high pitch whine is the secondary air injection, it's fine.

did you take a look under your hood and car? take some pictures and post them, maybe an experienced eye can pin point the leak before you go spending money on all sorts of parts

 

Is there any reason why the high pitch noise would just randomly start. I have had the car for almost a year now and it just recently started. I didn't know if it started to compensate for something else or not.

About the oil leak...the internet at home for some reason stopped working the other day. I am going to go get an oil change cuz its about that time anyways and so that way they can take a look at it while the car is up.
