Ok, well I guess I'm just gonna have to do a FMIC. I just wondered if anyone thought this could be done, but it sounds like it would be too much of a pain in the a$$. I wonder where the S4 has all that stuff relocated to.

If you search this you will find some more info. I was looking into it the day. If you are only boosting stock pressure it isn't worth it. It might work, The tt 225 has a dsmic setup!

The S4 engine is totally different, with totally different turbo plumbing. It's not that the S4 has all that stuff "relocated" it's just a different setup. They did not modify the S4 turbo plumbing to accomidate the smic, it was designed with everything in mind.... Of course it would be a giant pita to re route and re plumb your 1.8T turbo piping/hoses, etc. to accomidate a second smic.

It's not the pressure, it's the volume. The volume a k03 pushes at 20psi is very different from a BT boosting 20psi. Same pressure, but the BT boost occupies more space, making the use of a large core fmic and piping a wise idea.

I heard "S4" so I came running again onepoint. LOL jk

BUT here are some pictures of what it looks like where you want to put that second SMIC on an A4:

Here is what it looks like for the S4 (my car):

Another Picture:

And an engine picture for the heck of it.

I have done 2 FMIC installs on A4's and I can assure you that to add a second one to the passenger side would be a HUGE pain. It's not worth it.

Oh yes... it's not much fun... did you ever see my thread about me having to re-build the passenger side head???

Here is one picture for how far I tore the car down before having someone else finish the work:

Ok, back on topic... Just thought I would show how much easier the 1.8T is to work on compared to the 2.7T... except for the DV's. THose are SUPER easy! They are right on top! HAHA
