'97 Audi A4 1.8T Boost question????
Just a real quick question. I have a '97 Audi A4 1.8TQM. It has a good amount of upgrades, including neuspeed 1 bar chip, aftermarket exhaust, dual stage boost control, and various other minor engine mods. My question is what is the highest safe levels to run with my dual stage boost control? Example: 14.7 low/ 18 high? Does anybody know ehough to make a knowledge answer? I have a body with a TT with 23 psi, but I know that is kind of crazy. Thanks!
I would not tune your K03 turbo to push more than 18psi. Allow peaks of maybe 20, but never hold that high.
Also keep in mind the age of your turbo. It's not a spring chicken anymore. Small hairline cracks will widen with such heat from 18-20 psi.
1 bar is about all you really want to throw at a 97-99.
