Default 98 1.8 overboost fix?

i have a 98 a4 1.8tq. i put in a k04. straight exhaust. 11lb flywheel. stage 3 clutch etc.
well i tightened the wastegate a bit and am running the stock software. . obviously leading to (17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded) overboosting. i expected it, but am sure that untill i get better software, there has got to be a fix someone here has figured out.
i've read the diode deals, but i dont have a MAP. however i stopped at ECS and informed them of my situation and goal, and they showed my which sensor is responsible for "playing with the boost" as far as tricking the comp. this is a 2 wire sw/sensor right by the turbo inlet.
what can i do to trick this awesome machine, aside from getting software. resistor? diode?

thanks

you said it in your post. tightening the wastegate is causing the overboost, soooooo loosen it back up.

Loosing up the wg or throw in a MBC. You could also just bypass the N75 by hooking up the 2 vac lines together and running right off the wg spring rate which is going to be slightly more then it comes set for from BW.

what? i told you exactly what you needed to do to fix the problem that you reported. obviously Mike is more experienced than i am with these cars so he added to what i said in my post.

you clearly know that you need new software to increase boost properly so what you should be doing is running it at stock boost until then.
