So just FYI, I did search through forums before posting....

My good friend has a 1998 A4 B5 1.8 engine Code: AEB

All of a sudden his power door locks, key fob, power windows, interior door lighting, sunroof etc. just quit working... I am pretty sure it's the CCM....

Here's MY dilemma, he has manual seats, so the CCM is NOT under the FRONT seat like it is on my 2 2.8s? OR IS IT? He has a seat clamp where MY CCM is....

I've heard it can be in the trunk somewhere? Or under the back seat? Or even Center Console???? Anyone know where it is?

BTW, his seat heaters still work, his hazards etc still work.

Would I be correct in ASSUMING its the CCM? I WILL Vag-COM it, but it was just too darn cold tonight to take my laptop outside... -19 air temp right now...

IF it IS in the trunk anyone tell me how to get to it?

OR, could it be something else?

Hi im new in this forum


Im goign through the same nightmare, and I was wondering if you knew where the CCM is located. I went to a Yunk Yard and we were under the carpet where the drivers feet would be and there was nothing(which is 2000). I haven't checked the CCM in mine (which is 99.5) but I want to know where it is exactly and if the Module is indeed broken, can I put the one from a Passat or which should I put?

my 1998 was doing the exact same thing... the actual unit and the connector had water damage and much corrosion .. located under drivers side carpet...

 

Anyone tried the FUSES mine did hte same and low and behild the fuses were fused
