Im thinking about buying a 99 a4 2.8 quattro with 148k
the problem with the car is that it will not idle, runs fine with constant gas but dies when you let off of the gas
im not to familiar with audi's but if anyone has any suggestions on what i should try they would be greatly appreciated

 

well first off try to seafoam the car and injector cleaner also where do you live at? car may have bad coilpacks

 

how do you do the seafoam treatment on these, and in middletown ohio.

 

check the fuel filter.... if its quattro it wont be that easy... if its fwd then it should be simple to check

what about idle air control valve? Maybe clean the throttle body?
