99 Audi A4 Starting Problems
 

OK, this is the 1st time this has happened to me. I ran into McDonalds real quick and then I came back out to my car and it won't start. It doesn't even turn over. But all of the gauges and lights, heat and music turn on but the car WONT EVEN turn over. Please help me. Any ideas? THANKS!

well 1st you have to ask some to try to start while you listen if there is any click on the starter. may be starter is gone. if no then check fuses or put yur transmission in on N and pull brake then try again.may be yur safty swith is stuck.

same thing happened to me and still need help on this issue same symptoms butmine just turned off when i was driven and came to a stop. it just died. guages and power works?

Exact same thing happened to me
as of right now my mechanic believes its the starter or timing belt. I will know on monday and i will post what they tell me.

I say its the alternator. If all your electrical turns on (radio, dash lights, heat etc) you're getting current and if you hear a small clacking noise when you turn the ignition then maybe its your starter. Did any of you guys' battery light come on before this happened?

battery light didnt come on? just ran a diagnostic and no codes? so i still have power and everything and it cranks still just wont start. so guessin fuel pump??? or starter i guess???

Ya sounds like its going to be the fuel pump or starter no exact word yet.
