A4 1.8t won't rev past 3000rpm approx
Hi I have a A4 1.8t 1998 which is in the garage and I have been stupid to let it sit there for too long.
The problem is it starts and idles fine but if revved past approx 1500rpm it dies away back to idling then tries again. The car also does this when I try and drive it.
The fact it's been sitting around too long has probably caused this problem, but does anyone have any suggestions where to start looking to resolve the problem?
Cheers in advance!

If your car battery died it is most likely you need to take it in to have a throttle adaptation done on it. It is a cheap procedure other than the tow to your mechanic. Or you can get a VAG-COM and do it yourself!
