Default A4 B5 Electrical Mirrors not working

Hi,

The electical mirrors on my A4 1.8 B5 model stopped working. I checked the fuse and it was blown. Replaced it but both mirrors are still not working. Any ideas what might be the problem and where should I start looking first?

idk if u know how or want to, but try popping the door panel off and looking at the connection... when i first got my car the power mirrors didnt work either, i replaced the fuse just like u but still nothing... i think checked the connector and the clip was broken and i had to put it back in and zip tie them together and i havent had a problem since

hope this helps...

and see i dont always thread jack and give worthless info andrew lol

Done that. Tried 20A instead of the original 10A but still no luck.

Is that a complicated job? I think, I've seen a guide on the net of how to take door panel off but are there any specific things to watch out for while doing it?

Is there a way to test that without removing the door panels?

No not complicated, there are 2 screws at the top of the panel, one on the outside and one on the inside (edge of door and next to door hinge), there is also 2 screws behind the lil piece in your handle by your window control, pop that lil black piece out by removing the screw and there are the 2 screws underneath that area, once u do that go to top of door panel with window down pull up the panel over the door but be careful of your door lock, then lift straight up and pull the sides out lil by lil as the hooks are pointing down, I'm sure there is a vid online but incase u can't find one that's the best description I can give

And when u do remove the door be careful of you windows anf your door speaker wires so u don't rip them out... Hope that helps and u get your problem fixed
