Default abs light stays on with flashing brake light!

so yeah on my 2000 a4 1.8tqm my abs light stays on and my brake light flashes, didnt start until i put lowering springs on my car and i think i might have messed up one of the sensors, but an audi mechanic told me i the modules or something was messed up and i gotta get a new one(like 600 bucks) so i was wondering if this has happened to anyone, or if anyone has any input! please let me know! thanks!
